Link-Yourself Monday & the letter "G"

Wow, it's Monday again. Here is hoping you all had a wonderful weekend! Mine was filled with working extra hours and than sadly with a toothache from you know where. Yuck, is all I can say. But feeling better today, so for that I am grateful.

Today we have rain in the forecast and it is super windy. As I was driving home from work this morning, I thought my Van wanted to lift of the ground or I was driving drunk down the road. Yup, that's windy.

With it being Monday, it's time for all you lovely Ladies to Link Yourself and show us all the beautiful things you have been making over the last week. Have Fun!

Now to the letter "G". I had to think over this one. Couldn't think of to many crafts that start with that letter. Hmmmm? So I picked "Gardening Crafts". What other crafts can you think of?

This is such a simple craft.
Just take Terra Cotta pots and
paint the rim with chalk paint,
than write whats in the pot.

Just love these glass decorations.
Go to the nearest flee market and purchase
glass vases or cups.
With glue #6000 glue the pieces together
as you like them to show.
So much fun to make and can be as colorful as you like.

Another simple craft.
Use and recycle old tires by cleaning them and
than painted them with exterior paint, stacking them, filling
them with potting soil and your favorite flowering plants.
Just a little something to cheer up any yard.

Last but not least - Little greenhouse
All you need to to is take a clear plastic bottle
cut off the top and put over your little
seedlings and watch them grow.

I have made all four examples and have to say that they all work and are fun to make. So give it a try.

"Happy Monday" everyone!!

Flower Inspiration

Today has been a good day....Yes....the kind of day one wishes to have every day. Sunshine, warm weather and some free time to do a little gardening and a little hooking. How much better can it get....I ask? Today I was able to plant some spices and to get my tomato plants bought, which I will plant in the next few days. Here a little looksy at my spices.....

And here now is a little project I have been working on for a couple of hours today. I found the pattern here at  Scotty's Place . She is making these little flowers for an afghan. You should go and take a look......love the colors she has chosen so far and am looking forward to seeing the finished product. I, myself decided I really enjoyed the little flowers, but I am not going to use them to make an afghan, but instead to chain them together, to hang them on the wall of my little office, with my cheerful yellow wall. You should all try the pattern, as it is quite simple to understand and make. I just used yarn I had left over from my afghan I am making. So....would you like to take a little look? Well I don't know....should I really let you see it? You say YES of course.....OK, OK....here they are. Hope you will enjoy them as I did and hope the rest of your evening is filled with fun and enjoyment!

A Quick "Hallo"

Good Afternoon my Dear Friends! Hope your day is going well so far.

This morning I took the big Mastiff mommy for a walk, or should we say......I think she took me for a walk. She was just so excited to see everything and of course had to sniff on every bush and every piece of grass she passed. The good thing about it is, that this kind of quick walking is good exercise for me and might help me loose those treated extra pounds I've put on over the winter month. Even so it stormed last night quite a bit and the rain clouds were still overhead, I really enjoyed it. I saw a woodpecker just pecking away on a tree. I tried to get a picture of him, but my camera just wouldn't get close enough. But how I enjoyed seeing all the pretty flowers and bushes.

Magnolia trees....oooh how I love them. Especially at this time of year when they flower in all their pink beauty. During the summer month I enjoy their fragrant flowers.

Isn't that just beautiful. I could look at them all day.

Yesterday I cut the grass in our backyard for the first time. When I was done, I just pulled a chair into the yard and played fetch with the dogs for a while. They so loved this ourdoor activity after the long winter. It is amazing how they can always make me smile or laugh at them. They sure do the funniest things. I also love the smell of the grass after it has been cut for the first time of the year. It has a scent of its own, like freshness itself.

I also repotted a few of my indoor plants and potted a butterflybush. I don't know know about you but I just loveeee to dig in the dirt and get my hands dirty. It won't be much longer and I get to dig up a veggie garden, with fresh Tomatoes, Beans and Herbs. Ohhh the joys of summer. Nothing can keep me in the house during those month. What do you enjoy doing in the summertime?

Well lets end todays post with a crafty note. Here are two pictures of a pattern I thought some of you might enjoy and I thought I would share them with you. Until the next time, take care of yourself......
