"Happy, Hoppety Easter"

Hope you have an Easter holiday that turns out egg-xactly the way you want.

Hip hop, hippety hop
My “Easter Bunny” went off to the shop,
He bought me an egg and lots of chocs
And packed them into a cardboard box.
Then he wrapped it with paper and shiny string
It really was such a pretty thing.
Disaster struck when I opened the door-
He slid across the parquet floor,
He went round the corner and past the stairs
And finished up in a pile of chairs.
Of the Easter goodies not a trace,
He’d thrown them into my fireplace!
So a warning before you go opening doors
Make sure your “Bunny” has non-slip paws!

Tuesday Question and a Crafty Update

Hallo my Dear Friends,

Hope this Tuesday morning finds you well.

Over the last weekend I did manage to get quite a bit done on my new afghan and it has cheered me up that I have had a little more time to do so. Can't wait to finish it and display it in my new apartment. Which reminds me, I need to take some pictures of it to share, so you can see why I am going with these colors.

I did finish the pillow as well, but can you believe it, I totally forgot to take pictures and have to wait for a better time with better light.

Here now what I have finished:

First one.....

Than Two.....

Than Three.....

Than Four.....

Than Five......

Five squares across and Seven squares long. Here another view:

After that I started to add the black round and have most of them done. Than three more rows of white around and putting them together. Progress.....how exciting! Really am looking forward to finishing this one.

Here now to the Tuesday Question, which is related to my current project:

I have made many striped afghans, but have never made a granny square one. Hard to believe, huh? Ok, when having to block such a big piece, what is the best way to do so? Is it best to do it one stripe at a time or do I block the whole piece at one time? Hope somebody can send me an answer. Thanks!

Well that is it from my neck of the woods for today. Hope you all have a wonderful day.

Something different - Mal was anderes

Hallo friends on this lovely spring morning! Hope you are enjoying your day so far.

Today I have a little different project for you to view. Another Easter project. It's simple and fun, but it is new to me.

A lovely spring or Easter quilt. It's made out of two panels, with batting in the middle and a fun fuzzy edging.

Now it has been embellished with yo-yo's made out of different fabrics and lots of fun buttons.

Wish the pictures had come out just a little better, as they are a little fuzzy, but I hope you can enjoy them anyway. So how do you like this?
Well for the next few days I will not be able to post as I am taking care of my lovely patient. Hope you all enjoy your upcoming weekend and hopefully I will have lots to show you when I come back next week.

Here is a picture of the nice lady I take care of. Every day with her is an adventure and lots of learning.

Almost Wordless Wednesday - A little bit of Easter

What you think? Are these pictures not cute? They were taken at the Store I work at. The owner, my boss, loves to decorate for every holiday with the appropriate theme. Every kid that comes in want to take home one of these bunnies. Well the good news is, they will have their chance to take one home, as they will be raffled of. Looking forward to seeing the shining eyes of the children who will.

Hallo again!!

Yes my Friends, I know it is hard to believe, but I am back after a few month absence. Have you missed me just a little bit?

Life has been rather busy for me over the last few month and a lot of adjustments had to be made. For one I went from not having a job to having two and with that, working 7 days a week most of the time. For three days I work 10 hour shifts at a small convenience store. The rest of the week I am Caregiver for an Alzheimer patient. Between all that and moving into my own apartment, it didn't leave much time for crafting. But now I am slowly getting back into the swing of things. I have missed working on my stuff and have lots of ideas and things I want too work on in the near future. Will promise to be back here more often, but can't guarantee being here every day, but will do my best to share with you all more often. As for working at the convenience store, I will just be there another two weeks and than I will be working just one job and have more time for a little bit of real life. Here is hoping you come back and join me on my little journey.

I have started working on a few new projects. One of them is a pillow and a matching afghan. So far I have the pillow almost finished and am working on the Rest. Here is a little view of what I have done so far:

I found the pattern int his magazine and love the design of it. The yarn I am using is "I Love This Yarn". It is just so soft a cuddly.

Now I am working on putting the pillow together. Made my own buttons from fabric to finish it of. Will show you the finished product in the next few days.

For now I hope you all have a wonderful Spring day. Enjoy the sunshine!
